Modern Economic Horizons (MEH) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to publishing visionary, empirical, theoretical, and policy-oriented research on emerging trends shaping the global economic landscape. Positioned at the frontier of contemporary economic science, MEH provides an intellectual forum for academic economists, development specialists, financial analysts, and macroeconomic policymakers. The journal prioritizes scholarship that explores structural transformations in national and global economies, the transition toward green and digital economic models, evolving trade networks, and novel economic paradigms designed to foster inclusive and sustainable growth.
MEH welcomes original empirical research articles, macroeconomic evaluations, microeconomic frameworks, and systematic literature reviews across modern economic systems. Key thematic areas include, but are not limited to:
Emerging Economic Paradigms & Structural Shifts: Digital economy architectures, platform economics, automation and future of labor markets, and circular economy modeling.
Green Economics, Climate Finance & Energy Transition: Renewable energy markets, carbon taxation mechanisms, sustainable resource allocation, and climate change economics.
Global Trade Dynamics & Geo-Economics: Supply chain regionalization, international trade agreements, cross-border capital flows, and foreign direct investment (FDI) trends.
Monetary Policy, Inflation & Fiscal Governance: Central bank innovations, sovereign debt sustainability, fiscal policy resilience, and macroeconomic stabilization mechanisms.
Inclusive Growth, Development & Inequality: Human capital development, poverty alleviation frameworks, regional economic disparities, and social safety net economics.
Modern Economic Horizons (MEH) is published triannually (3 issues per year: April, August, and December), operating an online-first continuous publishing model to ensure rapid editorial decisions and immediate global open-access dissemination.
To maintain international academic rigor, econometric precision, and methodological excellence, MEH enforces a strict double-anonymous peer review protocol. All submitted manuscripts undergo preliminary editorial screening by the Editorial Board to assess scope alignment, original scholarly contribution, data validity, and plagiarism index metrics (adhering to COPE standards). Manuscripts passing desk review are evaluated by at least two independent international experts specializing in economics, econometrics, or public policy. Review criteria center on theoretical depth, methodological and statistical rigor, empirical reproducibility, clarity of argumentation, and actionable policy insights.
Mission Statement: "The mission of Modern Economic Horizons is to expand the frontiers of global economic knowledge by publishing rigorous, forward-looking, and data-driven research, bridging modern economic theory with practical policy solutions, and providing open-access insights to build resilient, sustainable, and inclusive economies worldwide."
